Each fiscal year a portion of Nevada’s allotment
of funds received under section 110 of the Rehabilitation Act are
reserved to further innovation and expansion of the vocational
rehabilitation programs.The
Vocational Rehabilitation Council encourages interested parties to
approach it with projects for funding consideration.Recent examples of projects funded include:rural employment for high school students with learning
disabilities; strategies to improve work efficiency and
performance; media instruments (videotapes, brochures) that focus
attention on the roles of people with disabilities in the community and the workforce; and training on the
Workforce Investment Act and the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1998.
