The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be holding a public meeting to receive comments on the draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for license renewal of Indian Point units 2 and 3. There will be two sessions on February 12, 2009, at 1:30pm and 7pm, at Colonial Terrace, 119 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, New York 10567. There will be an informal open house beginning one hour prior to each session for those who wish to attend. The open house will provide members of the public with an opportunity to talk informally one-on-one with NRC staff.
Members of the public may register to present oral comments at this meeting by following the instructions in the attached meeting notice.

Also, the NRC's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) subcommittee on license renewal has tentatively scheduled March 4, 2009, to review the Indian Point license renewal safety evaluation report (SER) (with open items). That meeting is open to the public and will be at NRC headquarters, Two White Flint North, 11545 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852, from 8:30am to 5:00pm in room T2B2. Please check the ACRS schedule at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/acrs/agenda/2009/ for any changes.
