It looks like all-systems go for Mox next week - now that BNFL has cleared all the legal hurdles.
Friends of the Earth's bid to stop the Sellafield Mox plant starting up finally failed last Friday when a Court of Appeal upheld a previous High Court ruling.
BNFL plan to introduce plutonium into the plant towards the end of next week, once a li-cence consent has been obtained.
BNFL hopes the plant will secure the site's long-term future by turning plutonium and uranium from Thorp into fuel for producing electricity in modern nuclear reactors
