LETTERS: Water policy
To the editor:
Sen. Strom Thurmond's suggestion that nuclear power plants be built at the Nevada Test Site shows incredible ignorance. Nevada is a desert. There is no water to cool a nuke plant.
When will our politicians get their heads out of the sand? The current power crises cannot be solved without a national water policy as an integral part of a national power policy. If Nevada is to serve as a power generator for California and elsewhere, water must be imported along with fuel.
