The State Duma is to begin hearings Tuesday on whether to change the law that forbids the long-term storage of nuclear waste on Russian soil a project that Nuclear Power Minister Yevgeny Adamov says could be worth tens of billions of dollars in budget revenues. However, environmental groups are staunchly opposed. Adamov has been telling potential clients that Russia will soon be ready to open a nuclear storage business.
