Geologist Warns Of Quake Danger - (SALT LAKE CITY) -- State geologists say the area where the Skull Valley band of the Goshute Indian tribe wants to build a nuclear storage site, could be prone to earthquakes. Lee Allison of the Utah Geological survey was among many people who testified at a public hearing on the proposal. Allison claims there are two large, active faults that would be crossed by the railroad to get to the site. Allison's boss, Utah Governor Mike Leavitt, has been a vocal opponent of the plan by several eastern utility companies to temporarily store the waste in Utah.
