(IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO) -- The times, they are a changing... at the INEEL. A third shipment of low-level radioactive waste left the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Lab yesterday, bound for permanent burial in New Mexico. The fourth shipment this year will leave tomorrow but thousands will follow in the years to come. On Friday, Bechtel B-and-W Idaho assumes responsibility for the management and operation of the Energy Department site in eastern Idaho. Bechtel replaces Lockheed Martin which did not bid on another five-year contract.
